Buenaflor (Flor) Nicolas has over 20 years of extensive experience in global pharmacovigilance with in-depth knowledge of all aspects of clinical drug safety, pharmacovigilance practices and worldwide safety regulations. Prior to joining Rain, Flor was senior director of operations in global patient safety (GLPS) at Gilead Sciences, Inc., where she oversaw the GLPS operations staff and led teams to achieve key department goals and objectives, drive process and operational efficiencies, following its acquisition of Forty Seven Inc., where she served as senior director and head of pharmacovigilance. Before Forty Seven Inc., she was as head of drug safety at Cytokinetics, Inc., where she established and managed drug safety strategies. She previously held various executive roles at KaloBios Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and InterMune, Inc. Flor graduated with an MPH in public health practice from the University of Massachusetts and a BS in chemical engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in Manila, Philippines. She also holds a certificate in clinical trials design and management from the University of California Santa Cruz Extension.
