Mehdi Paborji is a pharmaceutical product development expert with over 35 years of broad technical and clinical operations expertise, bringing several approved drugs to market. Prior to joining Rain, Mehdi was chief technical officer at Valorum Biologics, where he led the development of biosimilars. Before Valorum, he was head of technical operations and CMC at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals and chief operating officer and site head of Biotie Therapies, where he spearheaded the global pharmaceutical development of all neurodegenerative programs. Prior to this, Mehdi served as founder and chief operating officer of TheraVida, where he successfully negotiated the out-licensing of two lead programs. He has also served as a scientific advisor to several biotechnology companies. Mehdi received his PhD from the University of Kansas, where he also completed his post-doctoral research in pharmaceutical sciences.
